festival evaluation.

My job during the festival was ‘Front of House.’ What I had to do was collect money from the public and then give them a ticket that Marley made on the Tuesday before. At the beginning I didn’t really want to do it, because I felt that it could be too hard to control. But Farah helped me at the very beginning and then she went off to film the rest of the festival. Once the festival started I had to stand inside the theatre and keep looking out for latecomers. After the fashion show, if there were latecomers, Mr Cullingford said that they might as well come in for free. After the fashion show and the singers we let the audience onto the stage to collect all the sweets around the stage and around the set.

What I enjoyed about the festival was mainly the fashion show and the set design. The theme was candy, so we had lollipops. I think that in the end it went really well. The only down side of the festival was that when it was finished, someone robbed the money and the hard drive. That was the only downside of everything. I partly felt responsible for the money going missing because I saw it, then Miss Cornish told me to stand at the door.

On the Tuesday before the festival, myself and Farah and others were helping cutting out cardboards for the lollipop and then after we painted them to make them look like lollipops. We later then had to make the stick’s of the lollipops.

After the festival when everyone went, there was a lot of cleaning up to do. Even though my role was to be Front of House, i still had to clean up the stage and move things around to their original place.

There weren’t any photos of myself and Farah being Front of House or any photos of use doing anything before the festival started. But there were people who knew we were there, like Miss Cornish, Mrs Peddie, Mr Cullingford and Mr Buck.

All through the day, on Wednesday everyone came off timetable to help set up the theatre and help organise everything. I would of come and helped them, and properly got more things done, but i had to go to my lessons. After school while the rest of the class was in the theatre I, Farah, Gina and Cheyenne went home to get ready and arrived back to school at about 4:55. Miss Cornish then had a go at us when we got to school. She said that we were meant to help straight after school, which we didn’t know about. Therefore this made me a bit angry. On Tuesday Farah and myself went down to Mr Cullingford’s room about 7 times in about 2 hours. Nobody has realised the hard work that we done then, because on Wednesday people thought that we did nothing because we arrived ‘late’
